Garneau Clothing Order

For those of you that ordered clothing through the Garneau Pick-Pay-Ride system, we just finalized the drawings this week and gave our approval for them to proceed with the manufacturing process.

Their current estimate is that the clothing will be delivered in about 7 weeks.

Our clothing coordinator - Jen B - will get the clothing and reach out to you once it has been received.

We do still have some items in inventory.  They can be purchased here:  https://ccnbikes.com/#!/events/2015-oakville-cycling-club-membership/store

Parking at Halton Region Centre on Sundays

This morning I observed several members parking at an adjacent business when the parking lot filled up at Halton Region Centre.

Be advised that we do not have permission to use any parking lots from any of the businesses in the area.  Parking there is strictly at your own risk and your car could potentially get towed.  A complaint by one of the businesses to Halton Region could also result in us losing the Halton Region Centre parking.

Technically, the lot is located in the Town of Halton Hills and not in Milton.  In doing some digging online, I found this pamphlet on the town's website which explains on-street parking considerations:  http://www.haltonhills.ca/parking/parking-pamphlet.pdf

Cambridge Tour de Grand

For several years now every June we've had a large contingent of OCC members riding in the annual Cambridge Tour de Grand.  It is a well organized event, with rest stops and a meal afterwards.  It is also quite inexpensive to sign up and ride.

Several ride leaders are going out and doing various distances.  So far, the list is as follows:

  • 50 km
    • Arthur H
    • Joan W
  • 100 km
    • Dave B (that's me!)
    • Paul I
    • Joe R
    • Ed D
    • Pedro C
  • 160 km
    • Jeremy H
    • Barry P
    • Pieter
    • Bob S
    • Colin M

If you're out there, be sure to wear your OCC colours and look out for some of these people.  We always like to make a good showing at this event.
