Tip of the Week: Cold Weather Riding
This week's tip of the week
concerns cold weather riding. Specifically, what to wear and keep in mind when riding in the cold.
We'd all like to be riding in the high teens/low 20's, it is still possible to stay comfortable when the needle starts getting to the freezing point. The most important thing is to remember to layer - have a base layer with an outer layer to block the wind. Make sure to have a wicking base layer to pull the sweat away from you. You want to move the moisture away from your skin so that it doesn't trap the cold.
As well as keeping your core warm, it's also vitally important to keep the extremities warm - hands, feet, and head. Gloves, shoe covers and a cap or balaclava should be in your winter clothing lineup.
Make sure to visit your favourite bike shop. Their experts will help you get kitted out with some great cold weather clothing so that you can keep those kilometres accumulating in the winter months.
This Morning's Cancellation Notice
It has come to my attention that this morning's cancellation notice may not have been received by everyone. In fact, I still have not received it, while others have reported receiving it at 10:30 AM.
We're looking into why that happened. E-mail is generally a reliable form of communication however, sometimes things can and do happen that causes mail not to be delivered properly.
With the cooler weather coming, we do have a few vests, long sleeve jerseys and a jacket available in inventory.
